Principal’s Report - June, 2023

DES is excited to partake in a field trip to Squam Lakes Science Center in Holderness, NH. Our students in grades K-5 will have the opportunity to visit the Science Center on June 6th. DES has met our newest Kindergarten students and were excited to welcome their families to our wonderful community.

On May 24th we celebrated Title I Night and had White Mountain Science Inc. visit. Students in grades K-2 built chairs for the stuffed animals whiles students in grades 3-5 built wiggle bots. 

 This year's field day is scheduled for Wednesday, June 14th. Mr. Philippe has been working hard to organize a variety of fun and exciting outdoor activities for the students to participate in.

The DES 5th Grade Promotional Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 14th! The ceremony will begin at 6:00 pm outside at our flag pole. We are excited to celebrate our fifth grade and congratulate them on their success here at DES.  This year we celebrate eight spectacular students. They are; Leeanne Berry, Paul Rousselle, Shia Fenton, Madison Davis-Martineau, Dixie Butler-Swan, Faith Potter, Harley Ames and Ryan Potter. We are so proud of all the hard work 5th grade has put in here at DES. We wish them the best in their next adventure at NMMS.

As we close out our year, DES celebrates our student’s success. We have had an extraordinary year learning and growing together. We are eager for continued success in our next school year.
