Collen Abbey: Special Education Case Manager
I have been a teacher for 29 years, 17 of those years have been at Danbury Elementary School. I am the mother to 3 grown boys and the grandmother to 6. I knew I wanted to become a special education teacher in the fourth grade and never looked back. My hobbies include time with my husband on our Harley, spending time with the grandchildren and organizing.
Ashley Littlefield: Art Teacher
Hi there! My name is Miss Littlefield and this is my second year of teaching art here at Newfound. Students see me every Friday rolling around with the glorious “Art Cart.” I’m so happy to be able to share something as awesome as art with so many young and creative minds. My goal as a teacher is to provide lessons that encourage students to continue practicing their skills of imagination, creativity, innovation, and elaboration. I also hope to provide hands-on interactive instruction as often as possible. Throughout the year, students will be creating several projects including sketchbooks, sculptures of local landmarks, Lego creations, and even their own clay restaurants! Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, hiking, gardening, swimming, and...well of course...creating art!
