Our budding DES artists have started this school year off very colorfully!
Fifth grade is just completing a color experiment after viewing work by Wassily Kandinsky. The color explorations are dazzling. Fourth grade took a look at the organic shapes of Henri Matisse and created "star-like" self portraits using primary colors. Second and third grade artists completed an abstract piece using primary and secondary color along with lines and shapes. Quite amazing! First graders created fabulous sunflowers-
Vincent Van Gogh style. Kindergarten artists have been busy creating artwork with a lot of color "magic.”
Bravo to all! We're all excited to see what part of art we will be exploring next.
